Our Mission

Healing Happens When You Feel
Truly Seen

Therapy is more than just a conversation; it is a space where you deserve to be seen, heard, and honored for exactly who you are. All of you.

Alif Counseling Services was founded on a simple, powerful belief: that true healing begins when clinical expertise meets genuine human connection in a space free of judgment. In a world that often asks us to leave parts of our identity at the door, we invite you to bring your whole self—your culture, your faith, your struggles, and your strengths.

Our mission is to provide the Dallas community with a sanctuary for growth and healing. We are here to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, helping you find the clarity, tools, and resilience to build a more peaceful and fulfilling life.

Our Approach to Counseling

To provide the most effective care, our philosophy is built on three core pillars that guide every session and every client relationship.

Client-Centered at Heart

You are the expert on your own life. Our role is not to provide answers, but to be a compassionate, skilled guide who helps you uncover your own wisdom. We listen deeply to your story and collaborate with you to create a personalized path to healing that aligns with your unique goals and values.

Culturally & Spiritually Honoring

We specialize in providing culturally sensitive therapy that respects the diverse fabric of Dallas. We have deep experience supporting individuals from South Asian, Muslim, immigrant, and other minority communities, understanding that your background is a source of strength. If you choose, we can integrate your own spiritual beliefs into our work together in a way that is ethical, client-led, and profoundly affirming.

Grounded in Proven Science

Compassion is combined with clinical excellence. As an EMDR-trained professional, Asma Sheikh utilizes leading, evidence-based methods—including the Gottman Method for couples and trauma-informed cognitive therapies—to ensure you are receiving the highest standard of care.

Meet Asma Sheikh, MA, LPC

“My passion is creating a space where people feel safe enough to be vulnerable, understood enough to be honest, and empowered enough to create lasting change. I am honored to do this work and to witness the courage of my clients every day.”

Asma Sheikh is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas with over a decade of experience helping adults, adolescents, and families find healing in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
